VENUE RESPONSIBILITIES
Venues have a unique and VITAL role to play in COVID Safety and this course will explain what your responsibilites are and how to work with Event Planners to ensure you are compliant.
This introductory course will give you a concise overview of the work going on behind the scenes and allow you to talk with knowledge and understanding about delivering COVID secure events.
IMPORTANT NOTE RE: RISK ASSESSMENTS
Please note: if you have final responsibility for writing the Risk Assessments for your events, this course is not suitable. We would recommend that you take our full, interactive course including a half day workshop.

Sarah Threlfall has been operating 'at the coalface' of Event Management for the past 20 years. She has worked in hotels, large corporate events agencies and, more recently, as a freelance consultant working with smaller event agents, production companies and also creative agencies.
Sarah has built up an enormous portfolio of different event formats, a wide ranging client list across nearly all sectors and worked across the globe. And from the word go she’s been doing full risk assessments and building her knowledge with industry health & safety training.
She is a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and has completed their Managing Safely certification and also their Train the Trainer course. She is currently studying towards her NEBOSH National General Certification which is an Internationally recognised H&S Qualification.
Since April 2020, Sarah has been researching and analysing the particular impact that COVID Secure measures will have on the Events Industry and has built up a wealth of knowledge and information on the Government guidance, legislation an industry best practice which has been published.
Her passion, enthusiasm and knowledge of her subject is always instantly obvious and she has a friendly and informal delivery style - making sure that the learner is always at the centre of every course and session. She loves nothing more than a good debate in her lively and interactive workshops and facilitates group discussions to engage the audience and really bring the content to life.
